Kiwi Can Jam

On Friday A Group Of Students from Glen Taylor School went on a bus to the Vodafone events center, Fourteen schools went there including us. When we got to the place we saw Mr  Numia and Miss Sadgrove. We divided ourselves into groups and we each got a box of pizza and drinks. We didn't have to get changed because we got changed at school. When we went inside there a lot of schools and a big screen it felt like the movies. We watched the other schools perform, We where the second to last group to perform we where scared but we did a prayer before we came up onto the stage. We felt hyped and proud so we knew we could do it. We had so much fun performing then we watched the last group perform then it was finally the end when we got to find out who the winners where, Glen Taylor School won a trophy for Integrity. We all went back on the bus and we were singing and dancing then we went home and that was the end. 

Miss Kelly's Farewell

Dear Miss Kelly

I would like to start off by saying thank you, Thank you because you have always been here for room 11 and you would always help us with our learning. We have had an great time with you Miss Kelly, Been have been a very good helpful student teacher around room 11. Room 11 would also like to say thank you for doing the teacher duties outside and just for looking after everyone. You are kind funny and helpful. On Friday was very awesome we played lots of games with miss Kelly. Thank you Miss Kelly for everything goodbye.

It all started when a war happened the only building that did not break was a mysterious library I took a step in. A chair moved slowly I got scared and suddenly a book opened the cover said the magic library. I looked around the library I closed my eyes and said the magic spell that it said in the book. A bright yellow light appeared and came into where my heart was and it gave me superpowers.

Tech - Cottage Pie

Today At Tech We Made A Cottage Pie 

Here's The Ingredients You Will Need:

Step 1 - Cut The Vegetables 

Step 2 - Peel The Potatoes,Slice & Mash

Step 3 - Fry Mince With Vegetables 

Step 4 - Put The Mince And Vegetables In The Tin Foil Bowl

Step 5 - Put Some Mashed Potatoes On Top

Step 6 - Repeat Step 4 To Step 5

Step 7 - Bake For 15 Mins 180c 

Tech

Today we made a chicken soup with Indian sauce this is how we made it  

Roast Chicken With Indian Sauce

Step 1- Dice The Onion And Fry Until Soft

Step 2-Add The Chicken For 5 Mins And fry For 5 Mins

Step 3- Add The Sauce And Simmer (Low Heat)

For 15 Mins

This dish was very yum Hope you enjoyed.

Tech

Every Wednesday the year 7 & 8's go to Tamaki college to learn things at tech. I am in the year 7 group in the year 7 group we cook things and eat them at the end in this photo you can see that we made silver corn beef with other vegetables. Every term we have to pay 10  dollars which means 1 dollar a week but if we want to we could pay 40 dollars for all four terms.

Fantastic Culture Festival

 

On culture festival there were a lot of groups. I thought it would be long but it was short and very hot.

The group I was in was the Samoan group. I was in the Samoan group because I am Samoan

Cross country

Today was a really fun day we got to run around our school. I had to do only two laps. I was so tired but I never gave up and I kept on trying. Sometimes I walked then I looked behind me and other people were catching up so I ran as fast as I could. I was very proud of myself because I came
in 5th place. I was happy that I came something near one two or three. Because sometimes its not all about winning its about having fun. 

Maritime museum

On Tuesday 15 august we went to 

maritime museum  and did some fun 

stuff we also went on a fairy  boat it was cool but i got a headache

it hurt so much but finally when we got to go outside it went away 

we all had a parent and we were in groups i was with Mrs parson

she was very nice when we got back to school it was nearly lunch time so that was the end of our trip

Duffy Assembly

Today we went to a Duffy assembly and a lady called gorgie  gave out the books.

We asked here how she got inspired and also when did she start.

gorgie started playing rugby when she was 18 years old. gorgie's favourite colour is green Her mum forced her to play netball she really wanted to play ruby so she join that too.Her favourite Rugby player is Richie miku. When we got back to class we opened our box full of books i got Night of the living dummy and i got bullies and buddies i got two new books i wanted

preparing for film festival

This morning we did some ideas for our filming 

my filming is about floods. We practised our 

speeches so we don't  fail in our filming.

Book day characters

Today we did some paintings and drawings we did it so we can have 

some things for our book costumes for tomorrow. I am going to be a minion and 

other people are going to be minions,power rangers and star wars people. 

This was so fun and a little bit hard cutting.

Me being crazy in the hall!

This is my favourite place to go because sometimes we do Zumba here. it is really fun and you can watch kids Assembly's and see what they have been learning in their class. Did you know that The first school hall that was first built was in 1897? They built halls so people or kids can present their assembly or to do other things.
