For Today's first warm up task on my first slide deck, we had to watch this video a write down ten key words that relates to this clip. For our next task we had to write down a sentence for each key word and how we saw it in the clip. Here is my finished product!

 On the 11th November 2020, Our school (Glen Taylor) Went on a trip to Hoyts,Sylvia park. Today I will be showing you one of the videos that were presented on the big screen in the cinemas which was made by SYC,Wint,Tracey & Paris. Fun Run T4

 Last week's Friday Glen Taylor school had a fun event called Fun Run! We ran with a school called G.I (Glen Innes) School. We were split in different groups and there was a Top Ten Girls group (For the most fastest yr 7's & 8's,and there was a group for the top ten boys (Yr 7's & 8's). Lastly there was a group of top year 6's and one Year 4,and groups 1 to 8 (Which was the rest of the (Yr6's,Yr7's & Yr8's ) At the end of our Fun Run a group of adults made us a barque.

Home Learning T3!

 First day back to home learning , because of lock down level 3 we are back to home learning. For today's first task I chose an math activity which is IXL , I chose an year 8 stage, in that section I picked I.1 - Understanding exponents. I got an 29/28 which is a fantastic score from my first experience with exponents. Here is a photo of my scoring.

Senior Friendship Book

Last week we worked on a Senior Friendship Book. What we had to do for this is write the answers that were given to us on a google doc. Some of the questions were... Some personal info such us P.O.B (Place of birth) and D.O.B (Date of birth). Another kind of question was, What is your favorite... We also have other topics to do that relate to rm 11's Senior friendship book. For our senior friendship book we have to bring some items to school such as, A Baby photo, an award from 2 or more years ago, Name of schools you have attended & and much more items.

Room 11 learnt about the Eid-Mubarak. For this type of learning we watched two videos about it and wrote down answers for the questions we were given. Enjoy

How Mummies Are Made

Last week in room 11 we got a piece of paper with steps on what you do to make a mummy. We then had to highlight each step and made sure there were seven. Some people had more than seven and some had less. We enjoyed looking for the steps and learning all about the ancient Egypt.

Panikeke

On Friday Room 11 made panikeke which is a Samoan dish. We made panikeke for Samoan language week. The toppings we added was Golden Syrup,Whip Cream and a tiny blob of strawberry jam. If I could rate this dish a 1 out of 10 I would rate it a 10 out of 10.

On Thursday some students,Family and teachers made a umu. The ingredients that were used was Taro,Green Banana,Pig,Chicken and sapasui. We enjoyed peeling the bananas the islander way. Here are some photos of us making the umu I hope you enjoy.

Last Day Of Technology - Plants

Today was my Tech's groups last day of science, So today we were working on Plants. Today we focused on leaves and the cells of them,We learnt that when the Stomata opens it lets the carbon dioxide come in then closes it. We also learnt that when the water goes in the roots it comes through the vascular bundle which is a hollow tube the water goes through then comes inside the leaf. Did you know that those little veins in the leaf is for spreading the water throughout the leaf?
